W2K Certified Virus Software Hits Virtual Shelves

Beginning today, users interested in a desktop virus solution for Windows 2000 can down load PC-cillin from Trend Micro Inc.

VeriTest has certified PC-cillin for Windows 2000. PC-Cillin offers standard virus scan utilities, as well as real-time email scanning, since email is a primary source of virus duplication. The software scans the email before they hit the inbox, eliminating any possibility that users will open the malicious files.

The product is available as a download and a downloadable upgrade at www.pc-cillin.com. The company plans to release the software on CD, beginning in mid-May.
