Cisco Updates Partner Program with New Incentives, AI Tools

Networking giant Cisco announced changes to its partner program on Monday, introducing new deal registration options, financial incentives and AI-powered tools for its channel partners.

The updates, unveiled at Cisco Partner Summit 2026 in Vancouver, include enhancements to the Cisco 360 Partner Program, the general availability of Cisco IQ for Partners and new capabilities for Cisco Cloud Control.

The changes cover partner compensation, managed services and tools for managing AI-ready infrastructure.

Cisco Expands Partner Incentives and Deal Registration

Cisco introduced Ecosystem Deal Registration, allowing advisors and developers to receive formal recognition for their contributions to customer transactions.

The company also introduced dedicated Partner Value Indexes (PVIs) for advisors and developers. A unified distributor PVI is scheduled to become available by spring 2027.

Changes to the Cisco Partner Incentive program include a 50% increase in the annual contract value growth reward and a doubling of the Adopt incentive across all use cases.

Preferred and Portfolio partners will also be eligible for an additional 2% cross-sell bonus when expanding customer accounts into new Cisco architectures, including Splunk.

The San Jose-based company is introducing an adoption incentive tied to Cisco IQ and a deal estimator that allows partners to calculate potential rebates.

Other additions include real-time deal registration information in the Partner Experience Platform, APIs for tracking partner performance and a beta version of the One Cisco Content Agent.

The AI-powered tool helps partner sales and marketing teams find approved Cisco materials and create customized customer presentations.

"Our partners are where Cisco meets the customer, and the AI era is asking more of all of us," said Tim Coogan, Cisco's senior vice president of global partner sales.

Cisco IQ Opens New Opportunities for MSPs and Resellers

Cisco also announced the general availability of Cisco IQ for Partners, extending the platform's capabilities to managed service providers and resellers.

According to the firm, Cisco IQ has onboarded more than 16,000 customers and 19 million devices since April 2026.

The partner offer includes a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server and expanded API access, allowing service providers to integrate infrastructure information into their own tools, workflows and AI agents.

New role-based access controls allow customers to grant resellers access to information about their installed Cisco equipment.

The technology company said these capabilities can help partners identify network risks, recommend upgrades and develop services around customer infrastructure.

Additional features include AI-powered assessments for quantum readiness and support for software vulnerabilities, along with improvements to the Cisco IQ AI Assistant.

The assistant can draw on device diagnostics and Cisco Technical Assistance Center knowledge to support troubleshooting.

Users can also create, close and escalate support cases through the tool.

Cisco Adds AI Infrastructure Management Tools

The networking vendor introduced new capabilities for Cisco Cloud Control, its infrastructure management platform.

Among them is Model Foundry, which will allow partners to discover, evaluate, fine-tune and run Cisco's AI models using their own data. Controlled availability will begin with Cisco partners.

Cisco is also adding MCP servers to its networking platforms, giving AI tools standardized access to live network information for troubleshooting and reporting.

Other announcements include expanded ThousandEyes monitoring on eligible Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7 access points, a quantum-resilient Wi-Fi 7 access point and broader support for Cisco Live Protect.

Cisco is also developing Privileged Infrastructure Access with Teleport to provide network teams and AI agents with temporary, identity-based access to routers and switches.

"The future of infrastructure operations is agentic, and it requires a platform that combines shared context, purpose-built models, and clear guardrails," said Jeetu Patel, Cisco's president and chief product officer.
