Frontline Managed Services Acquires KL Software Technologies
Frontline Managed Services has acquired KL Software Technologies, expanding its technology services business with additional Microsoft cloud, application development and AI expertise. The acquisition includes the launch of Frontline Intelligent Applications, a new business designed to help law firms accelerate how they use technology, data and AI to improve operations and business performance.
KL Software Technologies provides consulting and engineering services built around Microsoft's technology stack. Its capabilities include custom software development, cloud transformation, data and analytics, artificial intelligence and application modernization.
Frontline provides managed services primarily to professional services organizations, including legal and accounting firms. The acquisition broadens that model by adding software engineering and consulting capabilities that can support customers undertaking more complex technology modernization projects.
Frontline Intelligent Applications will span four primary areas, including strategic advisory, professional services, managed application servers and connected legal applications.
The companies also bring complementary Microsoft experience to the transaction. KL Software Technologies works with technologies including Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Power Platform and AI services, giving Frontline additional resources for developing and integrating applications within customers' existing Microsoft environments.
For enterprise IT teams, the deal reflects continued consolidation between managed service providers and specialized cloud and software engineering firms. Customers increasingly need providers that can operate existing infrastructure while also modernizing applications, integrating data and deploying AI.
KL Software Technologies will become part of Frontline Managed Services following the acquisition, expanding the combined company's ability to deliver both ongoing managed operations and project-based technology services.
