BindView Corp. expanded its directory services lockdown capabilities this week with a new product that targets Novell’s NDS e-Directory.
The product is called bv-Control for NDS eDirectory and supports Novell’s cross platform directory services product. NDS supports Windows NT, Windows 2000, Unix, Linux and NetWare.
BindView previously released bv-Control for Active Directory targeting Microsoft’s Windows 2000-dependant directory service that competes with NDS.
Major features of the Novell version include automated actions for policy enforcement, password cracking to ensure existing passwords meet corporate standards, site standards for establishing policies, effective rights analysis and the ability to administer all NDS trees across an enterprise. The software also supports Novell’s DirXML technology.
