Compaq Enhances Intelligent Manageability Tools

Compaq Computer Corp. announced enhancements to some of its Intelligent Manageability tools.

Compaq ActiveUpdate 2.0, in addition to software updates, now delivers the newest product information proactively to users over the Internet. The SmartStart Scripting Toolkit 1.1 now includes rapid deployment support for Compaq ProLiant servers running Linux and adds support for Norton Symantec Ghost. Updated integration modules provide support for the latest Compaq platforms.  These modules deliver easy integration with CA Unicenter, HP Openview, Tivoli NetView, and Tivoli Enterprise with Compaq Insight Manager.

Compaq’s enhancements to its ProLiant server management tools improve usability and deliver the benefits of Intelligent Manageability to customers.
