Hitachi Data Systems Launches New Storage System

Hitachi Data Systems, a subsidiary of Hitachi Ltd.,
announced the Hitachi Freedom Storage Thunder 9200, the latest member of the
Freedom Storage 9000 all-Fibre family.
The Thunder 9200 supports almost all high-end storage
management features that have become standard. These include ShadowImage 9200,
remote copy, logical unit security for SANs, dynamic logical unit management,
binding of selected user data in cache memory, multiple RAID-level support, and
2 Gb/second-ready host interfaces.
New features include scalability to 7.2 TB; an all-Fibre
architecture combined with dual-ported, high-speed disk drives; and enhanced
service level agreements.
