NetIQ Ships Security Management Solution

NetIQ Corp. announced the availability of Security Manager,
a comprehensive security solution for the enterprise. The product’s Active
Threat Management capability combines intrusion detection and vulnerability
assessment to address both needs in a single solution.
Security Manager lets organizations create threat perimeters
intended to provide an early-warning system for corporate and e-business
security organizations. It features the ability to take automated action in
response to security violations or anticipated threats. Additionally, the
product can detect new servers as they are added and automate setup of security
settings. It features “SecureBase,” which provides comprehensive best practices
in terms of scripts, rules, and English language descriptions for many security
issues; and provides automated downloads of security updates.
