Shugart's SCSIcalc Tests Network Software

Shugart Technology Inc. announced the release of its SCSIcalc software for the testing and analysis of SCSI-based storage networks. SCSIcalc is a new method of data storage testing analysis that automates and simplifies many of the most frequently applied test and analysis protocols.

SCSIcalc employs a calculator-like interface. The keys are programmable to user-set commands or sequences of commands. The user specifies which parameters are to be logged and subsequently automatically reported. SCSIcalc is portable across most popularly deployed operating systems and hardware platforms.

SCSIcalc performs production testing, field service troubleshooting and product compliance testing, and supports testing of disk, tape, CD-ROM, and automated data storage library devices.
