Sierra, HP Team to Offer Wireless WAN Solution

Sierra Wireless Inc. has teamed with Hewlett-Packard Co. to deliver a wireless WAN solution to the mobile workforce.

HP will sell Sierra Wireless' AirCard 300, a wireless PC card, directly from its Web site and through regional resellers. HP's family of OmniBook Pavillion notebook PCs will be offered with the AirCard 300. Additionally, customers can use GoAmerica's service for unlimited nationwide airtime, which includes software to enhance wireless Web browsing and e-mail.

The complete bundle allows mobile workers to access the Internet or company intranet, corporate e-mail, or financial information.
