DPD International Ltd., a developer of messaging solutions, unveiled its Developer's Toolkit for broadcast fax applications for Gold-Fax for Windows NT/2000.
Gold-Fax is an enterprise fax server solution for Windows NT/2000 and Exchange. The Toolkit enables faxing from any Windows, mainframe, or midrange system by using either Gold-Fax Keywords or the ActiveX Control programmer's interface. Gold-Fax Keywords can be used to fax directly from legacy applications that run on mainframes, Unix workstations, or OpenVMS systems. Gold-Fax Keywords can also be used to fax from applications such as Seagate Crystal Reports without any special programming.
The ActiveX Control can be used with any application that supports ActiveX technology, such as applications written in Visual Basic, Visual C++, HTML, or Microsoft Access.
The Developer's Toolkit includes the Gold-Fax Folder Monitor in addition to the ActiveX and Gold-Fax Keyword interfaces. Gold-Fax Folder Monitor installs a Windows service that monitors the contents of specific, user-defined folders to automatically fax documents from those folders.
