TrueSAN Networks Introduces SAN Planning Software

TrueSAN Networks, a provider of Fibre Channel SAN solutions, launched SANdesigner, a SAN configuration and management platform. SANdesigner enables end-users to design powerful and scalable SANs online using a GUI.

SANdesigner allows users to visually prototype SAN implementations via the Web. After indicating the current applications and existing network environment, the user can drag and drop SAN components in the GUI to form a visual prototype of a unified storage framework. Users can specify parameters such as the server operating system, RAID level, backup device, and Fibre Channel host and switch.

SANdesigner then determines the hardware and software components necessary to implement the solution.
