WebTrends Delivers Firewall Suite 2.0

WebTrends Corp. has released WebTrends Firewall Suite 2.0, a solution for monitoring and analyzing firewall, virtual private networking (VPN), and proxy usage in an enterprise. Firewall Suite 2.0 allows IT professionals to analyze internal and external firewall activity and identify attempted security violations. Additionally, WebTrends Firewall Suite 2.0 can provide a detailed cost accounting of companies' outbound bandwidth usage.

Firewall Suite 2.0 contains several new features. WebTrends has integrated with SurfWatch to monitor internal bandwidth usage by employees. WebTrends integrated categorization breaks down visited Web sites by five main categories. Integrated bandwidth cost analysis lets users enter the cost of service per kilobyte for bandwidth cost calculation. Firewall Suite 2.0 is scalable to the large enterprise, and it can handle up to 40 Gb of data to be analyzed. Fastrends database management enables automatic database size reduction.
