Compaq Provides Support for Enterprise Solutions

Compaq Computer Corp. today introduced the Enterprise Solution Provider (ESP) program. Composed of a network of qualified Compaq solutions providers, ESP is designed to provide enterprise customers with customized technology consulting, deployment, service and support to better meet their enterprise-specific solution requirements.

ESP builds upon the former Digital Priority Enterprise program, which consisted of high-end Alpha/Storage Works VARs and also will integrate Compaq's current Workstation Solution Provider program. Selected VARs will be trained and certified by Compaq and partners such as Oracle Corp., SAP and others to deploy specialized solutions on Alpha and Intel platforms.

"As Compaq increases its focus and reach into the enterprise market," working closely with our resellers to deliver comprehensive solutions and support to customers will be critical," says Mike Pocock, Compaq vice president of channel sales in North America. --Brian Ploskina, Assistant Editor
