SPSS Statistical Software Spreads Analysis Across Production Chain

SPSS Inc. is shipping QI Analyst Enterprise 4.0, which will aid enterprise customers in streamlining manufacturing and information distribution. QI Analyst Enterprise combines a database which communicates information across an organization in real time and Statistical Process Control (SPC) software to monitor and analyze process data.

SPSS’s previous releases focused primarily on back-end process analysts, often isolated from the production floor. The new release is intended to be distributed across a manufacturing organization, allowing persons from all points in the production chain to monitor process information and improve process efficiency.

In addtion, new process decisions can be implemented quickly by communicating through the software. Since the software is present throughout the manufacturing chain, workers are immediately aware of new decisions.

The software integrates with a number of platforms and input devices, and eschews a specialized database, using common, extant databases, easing the installation and integrating with current IT systems.

QI Analyst Enterprise 4.0 can be customized for each user, making each workstation appropriate to its environment.
