Microsoft Releases SP3 for Visual Studio

Microsoft Corp. today released Service Pack 3 for the Visual Studio 6.0 suite. As previously announced, the service pack resolves minor issues when using Visual Studio tools with Microsoft Internet Explorer 5. In response to customer requests, Visual Studio Service Pack 3 includes updates for all Visual Studio 6.0 tools, as well as to certain run-time redistributable files.

Microsoft recommends that developers install the current service pack before releasing applications they have developed with Visual Studio. Visual Studio 6.0 Service Pack 3 will be available free to all developers for Visual Studio through a Web download or Web order form. Customers of Visual Studio 6.0 Enterprise Edition can obtain the service pack by mailing the in-box fulfillment voucher. – Thomas Sullivan
