Microsoft Adds Business Process Visualization to Dynamics 365 Implementation Portal
Microsoft has added business process visualization to the Dynamics 365 Implementation Portal, giving project teams a graphical way to document and review processes during enterprise application deployments with access to the Microsoft Business Process Catalog.
Powered by Mavim, the new visualization capability helps implementation teams explore standard business processes, align on project scope, and make more informed implementation decisions earlier in the implementation lifecycle. Teams can now explore standard business process diagrams from the Microsoft Business Process Catalog without leaving the Implementation Portal, creating a common starting point for implementation discussions.
The capability lets teams visualize business processes and their hierarchy, providing a shared representation of how individual processes fit into broader business operations. Microsoft said teams can use the feature during implementation to improve alignment between business requirements and the Dynamics 365 solution being configured.
For large ERP and CRM projects, process documentation can become fragmented across spreadsheets, diagrams and requirements-management tools. The enhancements help organizations align business and technical stakeholders earlier in the implementation lifecycle, while creating a stronger process foundation that supports future solution design activities.
Business process visualization in the Implementation Portal for Dynamics 365 is now generally available as part of the standard project profiling experience, while Implementation Portal is available to customers with eligible Dynamics 365 products.
