Commvault and Microsoft Expand Strategic Partnership Around Cyber Resilience and Cloud Services

Commvault has signed a multi-year strategic partnership with Microsoft aimed at expanding collaboration around cyber resilience, data protection and cloud-based security services. Microsoft will offer Commvault's extensive AI and cyber resilience technologies as a native ISV service on Microsoft Azure.

The agreement will focus on helping organizations protect critical data, improve recovery capabilities and strengthen resilience against cyberattacks. The partnership builds on existing integrations between Commvault’s data protection platform and Microsoft technologies, including Azure and Microsoft 365. The strategic partnership and native service on Azure are designed to deliver key benefits to joint customers enabling resilient AI adoption, seamless native Azure experiences and maximized AI investments.

Commvault said the collaboration is intended to support customers managing increasingly complex hybrid and multi-cloud environments. Areas of focus include backup and recovery, ransomware preparedness and operational resilience, as organizations seek to safeguard business-critical information and maintain continuity during disruptions. Commvault's native ISV service on Azure is expected to enter public preview this summer.
