Emulex Demos 2GB/s Fibre Channel

Emulex Corp. demonstrated its 2GB per second LightPulse LP9002 Fibre Channel host bus adapter at the Intel Developer's Forum.

The LP9002 is fully backwards compatible with today's 1GB per second Fibre Channel standard and is capable of providing up to 400 MB per second bandwidth on a single link when operating at 2GB per second full-duplex. In addition, the LP9002 is compatible with drivers for the LP8000 and LP7000E products. The new product is designed for compatibility with the new IA-64 platform.
