Compaq to Offer Brocade Products in Enterprise Storage Line

Compaq Computer Corp. and Brocade Communications Systems Inc. have expanded their OEM partnership with Compaq now offering Brocade's SilkWorm 2040 8-port Fibre Channel SAN Switch 8/EL.

The SilkWorm 2040 provides full fabric connectivity for entry-level standalone SANs and offers edge device connectivity for larger SAN environments, providing customers with a scalable networking foundation for storage environments.

The Brocade product line includes three 8-port switches, the SilkWorm 2010, 2040, and 2050.
