HighPoint Rolls Out RAID Solutions for NAS

HighPoint Technologies Inc. is shipping the HPT370 RAID Controller, a software based RAID solution.

The key features of HPT370 include Ultra DMA/ATA 100, 66, 33 EIDE compatibility; up to 100 MB/sec transfer rate per channel; dual channels supporting up to four IDE/ATAPI devices simultaneously; supported RAID 0, 1, 0+1, and spanning functions; hot swapping capability; and two built-in internal 256 Bytes FIFOs.

The HPT370 is planned for integration with high performance motherboards, adapters, and network subsystems for 3D graphics, video editing, CAD, entry-level servers, and NAS. HPT370 includes support for DOS, Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, and 2000, and Linux.
