IntraNet Solutions Introduces Asset Management Package

IntraNet Solutions Inc. will release Xpedio WAM, a new solution to manage Web site assets.

Content in Xpedio WAM's assets will acquire a unique URL and file system location that can be accessed directly by another Web server, resulting in persistent content. Using this approach, the content updated in Xpedio WAM is automatically reflected at the URL or file system location, making the most up-to-date version available on the Web site. Assets can be contributed by their authors via a standard browser and approval can be given on those assets via an e-mail driven workflow process. Web designers can search for assets that may already exist in the system in order to reuse them.

Key features include Web browser-based contribution of assets, enabling content to be added from desktop applications anywhere in the enterprise; a workflow approval process; metadata and full text searching; security integrated with corporate standards, giving authorized contributors the ability to add or change content as required; release and expiration management; and archiving and replication of assets.

Xpedio WAM will be available for Windows NT and Unix after March 10, and for Linux by May 1.
