Quorum Cyber Plans Ontinue Acquisition to Expand Agentic Security Operations
Quorum Cyber has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Ontinue, an MXDR provider that operates an Agentic Security Operations Center designed to use AI agents alongside human security professionals.
The proposed combination would bring together managed detection and response, proactive risk reduction, incident response and professional services. The companies intend to develop security operations in which AI agents continuously analyze risk and respond within defined guardrails while humans retain control over strategy and critical decisions. Rather than treating Microsoft security tools as isolated products, the Agentic SOC enables them to work as part of an integrated, continuously learning operating model.
Both companies have substantial Microsoft security practices. The combined organization plans to support technologies including Microsoft Sentinel, Defender XDR, Entra, Purview, Microsoft 365 Copilot and Security Copilot, alongside emerging Microsoft agentic security capabilities.
Quorum Cyber said the acquisition would also broaden its geographic presence across North America, the U.K. and the DACH region, potentially helping multinational customers address regional security, compliance and data governance requirements.
Financial terms were not disclosed. Eterna Growth Partners would remain the majority investor in the combined company. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and required approvals, and the companies will continue operating independently until it closes.
