Nutanix Expands Cloud and Kubernetes Offerings to Support Service Providers
Nutanix and NetApp announced updates aimed at helping service providers expand cloud offerings and support enterprise workloads across hybrid environments. The partnership aims to integrate NetApp Intelligent Data Infrastructure with the Nutanix Cloud Platform (NCP). The aim is to offer customers modernized virtualization, hypervisor layers, faster migration, simplified operations, built-in cyber resilience and VM-Granular operations. The collaboration accelerates AI innovation aimed at business transformation.
Nutanix also introduced new capabilities and programs designed to help service providers grow managed cloud services, including tools for workload migration and platform expansion. The enhancements aimed for the Nutanix Elevate Service Provider Program partners allow service providers to run multiple tenants with automated workflows on shared Nutanix infrastructure. The "Powered by Nutanix: Verified Solutions" program was also announced, delivering offerings aligned with best practice standards for private cloud services. The company also aims to accelerate service provider transitions from VMware with onboarding incentives.
Finally, Nutanix also launched NKP Metal, a bare-metal Kubernetes offering that enables providers to run containerized workloads directly on physical infrastructure, targeting performance-sensitive use cases. With NKP Metal, organizations can deploy and manage containerized workloads on physical servers while maintaining operational simplicity, automation and enterprise services for the NCP solution. The launch aims to simplify lifecycle management and supports a dual-native architecture. NKP Metal is set for general availability in the second half of 2026.
