Nutanix Expands Agentic AI and Database Support to Strengthen Platform Strategy

Nutanix announced it is extending its agentic AI offerings to help neocloud providers deliver AI-driven services, with a focus on automating operations and enabling new revenue opportunities. The approach will enable neoclouds to deliver a broader catalog of AI services including GPU-as-a-service, Kubernetes-as-a-service and an enterprise-ready AI platform service powered by Nutanix Agentic AI. Enhancements to the Nutanix Cloud Manager (NCM) is aimed at helping service providers monetize AI infrastructure as a service.

At its .NEXT Conference 2026, Nutanix outlined new capabilities to its Cloud Platform designed for the agentic AI era. The updates reflect continued efforts to unify infrastructure and application services within a single platform. The enhancements support more deployments across hybrid multi-cloud environments and aims to offer a unified cloud management solution for modern distributed enterprise cloud environments.

In addition, Nutanix announced a certified integration with MongoDB through its database platform, aimed at simplifying the deployment and lifecycle management of database workloads. The integration of the Nutanix Database Service (NDB) platform and MongoDB Ops Manager combines infrastructure automation with database management reducing manual effort and improving efficiency. Key capabilities include automated sharded cluster provisioning, data protection workflows, reduced point-in-time recovery and comprehensive operational visibility. The integrated capabilities allow organizations to modernize legacy workloads and unleash the power of AI at scale.
