RCP: What's the elevator pitch for your company to a Microsoft partner?
Cook: We are a global hosting provider with more than 50 datacenters globally and over 2 million square feet of raised floor space. Savvis provides everything from colocation services to hosting and cloud services; more recently we have released our Microsoft SQL Server Database-as-a-Service offering under our Symphony Database product line.

For partners who may not have thought about your company since the last WPC, what would they need to know about what you've been up to for the past 12 months?
We are now a part of CenturyLink, which has significantly strengthened our position in the hosting and cloud markets.

Out of your entire product portfolio, what's the product or service that Microsoft partners should be aware of right now?
Symphony Database and Symphony Virtual Private Data Center (VPDC), which provide an entire cloud solution.

Are you announcing anything at WPC?
No.

What should Microsoft partners keep an eye out for from your company over the next year?
DR enablement for Symphony Database and a Web solution enablement overlay.

Why should someone visit your booth this year (free stuff, amazing demo, contest, promotion, etc.)?
We are demoing our Savvis Symphony VPDC cloud product as well as showing videos of our Symphony Database product, which allows you to run Microsoft SQL in the cloud. In addition, we have numerous free giveaways, including USB sticks, screen cleaners and stylus pens.

As a company, what are your goals for WPC this year?
Brand building/recognition

What's the profile of the ideal partner you're hoping to connect with at WPC this year?
An ISV or cloud broker

Who are some of your team members a partner might meet at your booth (names and titles)?
Reed Smith, director of cloud product management, will be at our booth Monday and Tuesday. Jonathan Vincenzo, technical director, product engineering, will be at the booth all week. Andy Cook, director of engineering, managed services, will be at the booth all week.
