SP1 Released for SQL Server 2000 Reporting Services

Microsoft on Tuesday refreshed its six-month-old reporting platform for SQL Server 2000 with a service pack that adds some minor functionality.

Reporting Services, a free download for SQL Server 2000 customers, is an extensible reporting platform to allow organizations to publish real-time information from back-end systems for review by end users on client devices. Since becoming available in January, the Microsoft reporting platform has been downloaded 75,000 times.

In addition to bug fixes, SQL Server 2000 Reporting Services SP1 contains several new features including support for exporting reports to Excel 97 and Excel 2000; improvements in PDF rendering extension for pagination and matrix performance; and control over series and data point style in charts.
