Hitachi, McDATA Launch High-end Platform

Microsoft Corp. has aligned with Hitachi Data Systems and McDATA Corp. in creating Trusted Solutions Platform (TSP), a collaborative effort of hardware, software and support designed to provide greater availability and scalability for users of Exchange and SQL Server applications in a Windows 2000 Advanced Server environment.

Essentially, the platform links Windows 2000 Advanced Server clusters with Hitachi's Freedom Storage Lightning 9900 subsystem and McDATA's ED-5000 enterprise-class Director, initiating greater server and storage consolidation.
