CE 3.0 Add-On Pack Permits XML Parsing

Microsoft Corp. has released Windows CE 3.0 Add-On Pack, which expands networking options and includes an interface that permits the parsing and modifying of XML, an initial step in the company's migration of devices toward its .NET platform.

In addition, the Add-On Pack allows for Internet connection sharing among devices, point-to-point tunneling protocol for secure access across the Internet, enhanced security and support for smart cards, and remote desktop protocol to permit access to applications running on a Windows 2000-based server.
