St. Bernard, HP Team on Backup Solution

St. Bernard Software Inc. announced a strategic partnership with Hewlett-Packard Co. for the integration of St. Bernard’s Open File Manager software into the HP OpenView OmniBack II product offering. The alliance provides consumers with a backup solution for Windows NT/2000 and NetWare enterprises requiring reliable live backup of continuous IT operations.

Open File Manager complements HP’s OpenView OmniBack II by enabling the backup utility to capture open files and relational applications not already covered by OmniBack II’s application agents. These application agents manage open files for Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL, Sybase, Informix, SAP R/3, and Oracle.

OmniBack II is a data management solution for data protection of Windows NT/2000 and NetWare system environments. It offers comprehensive backup and restores management across a single or multi-site enterprise.

Open File Manager is currently available from HP, and is listed on its corporate price list and Web site.
