CMD Ships New RAID Controller

CMD Technology Inc. announced it is shipping its new CRD-7220 Fibre Channel/Ultra2 RAID controller. The CRD-7220 is the latest addition to the CMD Titan family of RAID controllers, and features hot-swappable, dual redundant controllers, as well as dual Fibre Channel and dual Ultra2 SCSI disk interfaces, as well as support for up to 28 drives.

The CRD-7220 includes CMD's RAID Management System (RMS) software for controller configuration and management, automatic failover, and CMD's AutoRebind for continuous access environments. The CRD-7220 will also contain CMD SANmask LUN masking technology for secure disk access in shared storage environments and near instant RAID-set creation to deliver usable data and storage.

Configuration of the CRD-7220 is simplifies with the CMD Titan Interoperability Program, aimed at reducing development time for OEMs and system integrators.
