Cisco Expands Enterprise VPN Capacity

Cisco Systems Inc. announced a new addition to its Cisco VPN 3000 Concentrator series. The new Cisco VPN 3080 Concentrator is optimized to handle up to 10,000 remote connections.

The VPN 3080 Concentrator includes the new Cisco VPN Operating System release 2.5, providing compatibility with more Cisco products, such as the Cisco Secure PIX firewall family and the Cisco 7000 router series. Version 2.5 also offers hardware acceleration for Internet Key Exchange (IKE) operations.
