Syncsort Backup Express Extends Database Support

New features in Syncsort Inc.'s Backup Express will give e-businesses and critical application uninterrupted operation through new hot database support.

Backup Express Release 2.1.1 completes support for online database backup by providing direct online interfaces for Microsoft SQL Server 6.5 and 7.0, as well as Oracle for Windows. These interfaces add to Backup Express's list of databases supported for hot backup.

Backup Express is Syncsort's enterprise-wide backup and restore system. Because it is completely distributed, Backup Express can back up information to any device in an enterprise, whether a server is running Unix, NetWare, or Windows.
