StorageNetworks Launches Enhancements to SSM

StorageNetworks Inc. announced version 2.0 of its Virtual Storage Portal (VSP) software. VSP 2.0 delivers a storage service management (SSM) application, giving users greater control over their data storage, as well as the ability to manage and monitor the services being delivered by StorageNetworks.

Service management capabilities in VSP 2.0 include the ability to monitor service level agreements (SLAs), the ability for service and provisioning communication, as well as the ability to generate usage-based billing and chargeback reports.

StorageNetworks VSP software simplifies data storage resource management, providing users with a graphical view of their storage system architecture. Additional features of the VSP 2.0 software include service status alerts and audit logs, near real-time event polling, multiple time zone reporting, and a more secure login.
