OIT Increases Windows NT Integration with New Login Feature

Optical Image Technology Inc. (OIT) added a new feature that allows for integration with Windows NT security to promote administration ease, efficiency, and added license flexibility.

Administrators have an option to have OIT software synchronize users in OIT with NT-defined security. Additionally, administrators can specify that when the OIT client is launched, the OIT software automatically uses the current NT user name on the workstation, thus automatically logging into OIT.

The option requires users to define and maintain application level security, such as data areas a user is allowed to access with the OIT software, as well as feature rights, within OIT.

The OIT Total Solution for Document Management includes OptiFICHE (Computer Output to Laser Disk-Enterprise Report Management - COLD-ERM), OptiIMAGE (document imaging), OptiFLOW (workflow), IntraVIEWER (enterprise document portal), ObjectSERVE (HSM), ObjectPRINT (print/fax server), and InfoVIEW (enhanced index extraction).
