Software AG Launches Tamino XML System

Software AG USA has begun selling its XML information server, Tamino, in the U.S. Tamino, which is part of a full suite of XML native products, offers a Web-enabled data management system for data exchange and application integration.

While many relational databases need to convert data to other formats, Tamino stores, retrieves, and exchanges data in XML, its native format.

By being a native XML product, Tamino enables interoperability with other applications. It can accept and store XML data without previously defined structure, while allowing administrators to respond to changing environments.

Tamino is currently available for Windows NT. Unix and Linux versions are expected to launch later this year.
