Aelita Introduces Domain Migration Wizard 5.0

Aelita Software launched the latest version of its Domain Migration Wizard software, version 5.0. Domain Migration Wizard delivers a directory management solution for Windows 2000 migration, domain reconfiguration, and server consolidation.

Domain Migration Wizard is optimized for enterprise level performance and functionality with its database-centric, project-based workflow that automates and manages Windows NT to Windows 2000 directory migration, resource updating, organizational unit population, SIDhistory management, user profile migration, and post-migration maintenance.

Version 5.0 enhances the software's migration capabilities by adding an advanced Project Manager to increase the control over large migration projects while delivering enhanced functionality that simplifies and accelerates migration. Data movement and synchronization capabilities have also been added to automate server consolidation.

Domain Migration Wizard's newest components are Project Manger and Data Mover. Project Manager is a central migration management interface with advanced project tracking features, providing access to all the product's functionality, facilitating distributed team collaboration, and managing all migration sessions within a project. Data Mover enables online data migration and server consolidation with zero server downtime. Data Mover allows the administrator to define distributed synchronization topology and manage multiple jobs from the central interface.

Other improvements to version 5.0 include enhanced workflow, increased reversibility options, and optimized algorithms that support migration of up to 40,000 accounts per session and hundreds of thousands per project.
