Tandberg Data Unveils New Autoloading SLR Drive

Tandberg Data Inc. introduced the SLR100 Autoloader, an SLR technology-based automated tape storage solution.

The SLR100 Autoloader is available in tabletop or rackmount versions, and accommodates up to eight cartridges, providing capacities of up to 800 GB of drive space and transfer rates up to 36 GB/hr. Its rackmount form factor makes it possible to mount two units side by side in a standard 19-inch rack for up to 1600 GB in a 7-inch rack space. Additionally, the drive includes a removable magazine, standard bar code reader, and scalability to future generations of SLR products.
