Conita Introduces Back End for Voice Recognition

Voice Recognition can inspire a lot of oohs and ahhs, but its business use has always been dubious. Conita Technologies Inc. has introduced PVAStudio, "Personal Virtual Assistant" software that allows vocal access to network based applications.

PVAStudio is not Voice Recognition software, but a framework for integrating a voice interface into networks. It currently uses Nuance as its Voice Recognition engine.

PVAStudio is integrated with Microsoft BackOffice, allowing users to access Exchange folders and other applications with voice commands. With a mobile phone, users are able to check email from nearly any location.

In particular, Conita targets the CRM market for applications of PVAStudio, since users frequently depend on mobile, effortless access in order to address their customers’ needs. Mobile businessmen and other professionals may benefit by accessing email and CRM software through telephones, eliminating the need for laptops or devices for casual use.

Conita plans to introduce the product on a large scale by April.
