LANovation to Enable W2K Migration

LANovation has announced its PictureTaker Enterprise Edition 3.0 is able to help companies make the transition to Windows 2000. PictureTaker delivers automatic software installations and updates to Windows 95, 98, NT, and 2000 desktops.

PictureTaker employs a two-step, graphical "expert" to capture installations and updates, which are saved in a single-file format called a "package". The package can be distributed from a single administrative console via the Web, a management suite, e-mail, network log-in scripts, or CD-ROM. The package is automatically compressed in order to use a minimum amount of bandwidth.

PictureTaker 3.0 enables unattended installations in secure Windows 2000 and NT 4.0 environments.
