WRQ Inc. has announced two major PC-Unix integration agreements with Unix vendors Sun Microsystems Inc. and Hewlett-Packard Co.
For Sun (www.sun.com), WRQ (www.wrq.com) will provide WRQ Reflection solutions and support to customers of the Sun Solstice Network Client and Solstice NFS Client products. This allows Sun's current Solstice Network Client customers who continue integrating their Sun Solaris applications with their PC desktops the option to purchase WRQ Reflection Suite for X and get WRQ PC X Server and Solaris file access from a PC desktop.
WRQ has also established a third bundle agreement with HP (www.hp.com) to package its Reflection Suite for X and Reflection NFS Connection software. Through the agreement, HP will ship Reflection products both pre-installed and bundled with the new Windows NT-based Visualize P600C, P650C, and P700C Personal Workstations. A local version of Reflection X will be pre-installed on these machines, as well as Reflection NFS Connection and a 60-day trial version of Reflection Suite for X. -- Isaac Slepner
