Outlook 2000 Upgrade Free for Some Users

UPDATE: Microsoft Corp. announced that customers of its e-mail platform Exchange Server can now upgrade their client software to the Microsoft Outlook 2000 messaging and collaboration client at no additional charge.

The upgrade is available to Microsoft customers who have acquired a volume license for Exchange Server with a licensed Exchange client access license (CAL).

This free upgrade, however, is limited to licensed Exchange customers. Users of previous versions of Office and Outlook who do not have Exchange CALs are not eligible. Outlook 2000 is available to these customers by calling Microsoft Worldwide Fulfillment at (800) 248-0655. -- Thomas Sullivan
