RES Brings Wisdom to Windows Change Management

Real Enterprise Solutions announced Thursday that it is shipping Wisdom, a new integrated change and configuration management tool for Windows.

The package is designed to enable administrators to deploy software, apply hotfixes, install Microsoft updates and automate many other routine maintenance tasks, Atlanta, Ga. and Amsterdam-based RES says. Those tasks include modifying registry settings, and changing service parameters and computer name properties, as well as monitoring event logs and disk space usage. Other features provide system audit trails and generating reports.

For instance, Wisdom’s Instant Reports feature lets administrators query reports based on total computer hardware or software inventory, file contents, disk space history and application inventory, according to RES. It also provides a centralized console that enables administrators to create and automate routine maintenance tasks.

The package is licensed on a per agent basis.
