OSA Helps Migration to W2K

Open Software Associates Ltd. 2000 (OSA) has announced NetDeploy Global, a suite of software based on the Active Directory of Windows 2000 that provides full life-cycle software management for the enterprise.

NetDeploy Global extends the software management capabilities of Windows 2000 to include legacy platforms besides Microsoft's. It also helps provide software management for remote offices and workers in a company's extended enterprise.

NetDeploy covers the entire application lifecycle, including acquisition, development, testing, deployment, and automatic updating. It also works with other platforms besides Microsoft, including MacOS, Linux, and Unix. This enables corporations to have central software management before they finish migrating to Windows 2000 or finalizing their Active Directory.

The product suite operates through corporate firewalls and therefore extends the centrally-managed software environment to remote offices, remote workers, and suppliers and customers that make up the extended enterprise.

NetDeploy Global is currently available.
