Sunbelt Releases NT Network Security System

Sunbelt Software Inc., a provider of Windows NT system management utilities, has introduced Security Test and Analysis Tool (STAT) 3.0.

STAT 3.0 is a security system, maintained by a team of anti-hacking specialists, that performs a complete security vulnerability analysis of Windows NT network resources and provides updates through Web downloads as breaches are identified and fixes determined. STAT accomplishes this by examining the network, determining the weak spots, and repairing security problems in the network via continuous vulnerability updates and the STAT Auto-Fixä. The Auto-Fixä feature enables users to automatically fix vulnerabilities across the network with a single mouse click.

STAT 3.0 also features greater scalability and flexibility of network configuration; enhanced screen navigation; easier detection of hidden machines by typing the IP address; increased testing of fixes; a new reports function; and a new licensing model to address security needs of smaller networks.
