Wyse Crunches WBT into Smaller Space

Wyse Technology Inc. is shipping a Windows-based terminal built inside a 15-inch digital flat panel display.

According to Wyse, its new Winterm 3630LE occupies 75 percent less counter space than a conventional PC with a CRT monitor. The WBT, tailored to the healthcare and retail industries, can be mounted on a wall to further reduce its impact on desk or counter space.

The WBT comes with Windows CE, Internet Explorer 4.0, a 300 MHz National Geode processor, 10/100 Ethernet and two USB ports. The Winterm 3630LE is designed for use with Windows 2000 Server and Advanced Server; Windows NT 4.0, Terminal Server Edition; Citrix MetaFrame; and Citrix Nfuse.

Suggested retail price for a single unit is $1,499.
