StorageNetworks Offers Utilities for NAS

StorageNetworks Inc. announced its NetPACS-Live service, its newest offering in its NetPACS family of NAS services. NetPACS-Live is designed for the data recovery needs of file-based storage systems and complements the NetPACS-Base and NetPACS-Solo primary data storage services.

NetPACS-Live service provides a snap copy of the user's primary data source for "near-time" file restoration and testing. This incremental copy of the customer data set allows for easy file restoration and facilitates efficient integration with other StorageNetworks products and services for regular backups. NetPACS-Live is available on an hourly, daily, or weekly basis.

The NetPACS family of service plans consists of NetPACS-Base, providing a highly available primary data storage service in 100 managed gigabyte (MGB) increments; NetPACS-Solo, providing a standard availability storage service in 100 MGB increments; and now NetPACS-Live.
