ISS Offers Knowledge-Based Security Services

A new Windows NT security service highlights the expanded services being offered by Internet Security Systems (ISS). The security management solution company also announced the release of its Knowledge Services, a range of Internet and Windows NT services.

The new Windows NT security service, Savant, provides users with detailed, continually updated information on how to effectively manage the security of their Windows NT-based enterprises.

ISS' Knowledge Services will offer a range of services. The Savant Windows NT Security Guide provides ongoing, best practices security advice on the Windows NT operating system. Users gain access to both print and electronic editions of the guide, which is updated throughout the year in accordance with Microsoft's security updates. Customized security guides are available to cover both operating systems and applications at a level required by the user. Knowledge Services also offers security research services as well as a security advisory service, providing notification of all vulnerabilities discovered in operating systems and major software within 48 hours of becoming public knowledge.
