Securant Technologies Inc. (
www.securant.com), a developer of access management products for secure e-business, joined the Directory Interoperability Forum (
www.directoryforum.org).
Securant Technologies' support of the Directory Interoperability Forum is part of the company's ongoing effort to enable enterprises to build standards-based security infrastructures using the Unified Access Management (UAM) model. ClearTrust SecureControl allows enterprises to deploy UAM by centralizing access control, single sign-on, authentication, authorization, delegated administration and auditing. The ClearTrust SecureControl suite supports native integration with the industry's leading LDAP directories.
"A consistent LDAP directory interface will help large enterprises reduce the complexity of security administration for both Web and legacy applications by allowing developers to provide smooth links between directory data and management applications," says Jamil Bissar, secretary of the Directory Interoperability Forum and program director of IBM SecureWay Directory
The Forum is an industry initiative organized by IBM Corp., Novell Inc., Oracle Corp., Data Connection Limited (DCL) and Lotus Development Corp. to accelerate the development of directory enabled applications based on the LDAP specification. -- Thomas Sullivan
