Microsoft Adds Two New Partner Competencies

Reflecting what they call key areas of growth and opportunity, Microsoft officials announced two new partner competencies at the Worldwide Partner Conference in Denver this week. They are:

  • Hosting Solutions, previously a specialization within the Advanced Infrastructure competency, is targeted to partners with expertise in creating hosting solutions based on Microsoft technologies.
  • Business Intelligence Solutions, previously covered under the Information Worker competency, is for partners with expertise in designing and deploying BI solutions using Microsoft technologies.

With those two additions, Microsoft now offers 15 partner competencies. The company hasn't yet released the requirements for either competency, and it's not clear exactly when they'll be available.
