Microsoft Partners Nintex and AssureSign Ink Acquisition Deal

Nintex this week announced it is acquiring Microsoft ISV partner AssureSign, which makes digital signature solutions for Dynamics 365 and other CRM platforms.

The terms of the deal weren't described. It's the fourth purchase by privately held Nintex -- also a Microsoft partner focusing on various Microsoft 365 solutions, principally SharePoint -- since 2018. Last year, Nintex acquired kindred process management and automation company K2, bolstering its market share.

AssureSign's eSignatures solution will be added to the Nintex Process Platform, which supports various business process tools. One of those tools, Nintex Promapp, allows organizations to visually map and manage their business processes. Other Nintex tools include DocGen, robotic process automation, digital forms and mobile solutions.

David Brinkman, AssureSign's CEO, affirmed the two companies' cultures in the process automation space. He added that "we look forward to rapidly integrating AssureSign's eSignatures with Nintex's digital workflows and forms, document automation, and more."

That integration will occur "over the months ahead," according to Eric Johnson, Nintex's CEO.

AssureSign supports an unlimited number of users with its digital signature service. It permits Web portal branding and the use of text messages for signatures. Its service is used by insurance companies and brokers, such AAA, Farm Bureau Insurance and Hub International. The company started out in 2000 as 3PV LLC, when it was involved in providing a "voice-based third-party verification service," according to AssureSign's Web site. Later, it developed its electronic signature solution, which has since handled "over one billion" transactions.
